Modern manufacturing facility with building services systems

Manufacturing

Critical infrastructure and manufacturing

Reliable systems for facilities with demanding operational continuity requirements.

We create systems that maintain specified temperatures for industrial processes — from analysis to commissioning.

Facilities

HVAC for facilities where environmental conditions are part of the industrial process.

We create systems on which environmental conditions, equipment operation and facility continuity depend.

Production areas

Ventilation, air conditioning, heating and cooling provision that account for process emissions and operating patterns.

Technical rooms and plant rooms

Heat removal, maintenance of operating temperatures and provision of the required air exchange.

Server rooms and telecommunications facilities

Cooling, load distribution, redundancy and monitoring of critical parameters.

Laboratories and specialist spaces

Maintaining agreed temperature, humidity, pressure and air exchange levels.

Industrial HVAC redundancy and monitoring system

Reliability

Reliability starts with understanding the critical function, not with spare capacity.

It is important to establish which parameters the system must maintain, what should happen if an individual component fails and how the facility returns to normal operation.

A single large unit can remain a single point of failure. Redundancy must protect a specific function, not simply increase the amount of installed equipment.

Critical parameters

We identify the temperature, humidity, pressure, airflow rate and other parameters that affect the industrial process.

Redundancy and maintenance

We check which equipment can be isolated, how the system switches to standby equipment and whether servicing can be carried out without a complete shutdown.

Restoring operation

We define the sequence of actions following a failure, power loss or shutdown for servicing.

Scope of works

A single point of responsibility.

The actual scope of work is defined after analysing the design, process requirements and condition of the facility.

01

Technical analysis

We review the design, technical brief, loads, process requirements, critical operating modes and site constraints.

02

Proposal and scope boundaries

We define the equipment, materials and scope of work. We document exclusions, dependencies on other contractors, timescales and pricing terms.

03

Procurement and supply

We supply equipment and materials, checking component compatibility, technical substitutions and system completeness.

04

Installation and coordination

We install the HVAC system and coordinate the work with process engineers, designers, electricians, controls specialists and construction teams.

05

Commissioning and verification

We start up the equipment and check operating parameters, controls, alarms, standby modes and system recovery.

06

Handover and servicing

We hand over documentation, test records, settings and operating information. Subsequent servicing follows an agreed maintenance schedule.

Controls and monitoring

As part of our HVAC contract, we implement the required control sequences, alarms and transitions between operating modes.

We implement supervisory monitoring, analytics and data-driven solutions to monitor and optimise system operation.
