The company’s innovative solution delivers high energy efficiency, reliable performance and intelligent control for commercial HVAC systems. SEOUL, 21 July 2025
— LG Electronics (LG) is expanding the global availability of its latest air-cooled inverter scroll chiller, a next-generation heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) solution that supports the global transition to low-global-warming-potential (GWP) refrigerants and sustainable technologies.
The new model uses R32 refrigerant, which has a GWP approximately 70 per cent lower than R410A. Designed as an inverter-driven heat pump system, the chiller supplies both chilled and hot water, making it suitable for medium-sized commercial buildings requiring reliable year-round thermal management.
High energy efficiency. The new inverter scroll chiller delivers exceptional energy efficiency under a variety of operating conditions. Featuring LG’s full-inverter compressor, which operates across a wide frequency range from 30 Hz to 120 Hz, it provides high performance and reduced energy consumption even at part load.
LG’s patented HiPOR™ (High Pressure Oil Return) system improves compressor efficiency by returning oil directly to the compression chamber, significantly reducing energy losses. As a result, the unit achieves an integrated part load value (IPLV) of up to 5.9.
