World Refrigeration Day is an international awareness campaign that raises the profile of the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump industry and highlights the vital role of cooling technologies in supporting health, food security, economic development and quality of life worldwide.
The 2026 theme recognises that ‘intelligence’ in cooling goes beyond technology alone. From artificial intelligence and advanced controls to data-driven system optimisation and the expertise of engineers, technicians and operators, intelligent cooling solutions help address some of today’s most pressing energy, environmental and resilience challenges.
