Ventilation and air quality: Eurovent joins the Air Quality Society

Brussels, 23 June 2026. Eurovent has joined the Indoor Air Quality Society (IAQS), strengthening cooperation between the European HVACR industry and the indoor air quality expert community. Membership supports Eurovent's commitment to raising the profile of indoor air quality on the public health and policy agenda.

The collaboration was confirmed following Eurovent's annual meeting in Brussels. IAQS aims to translate indoor air science into action that improves indoor air quality and helps millions of people live healthier, happier and longer lives.

Eurovent aims to contribute to this mission by bringing the perspectives of technology providers whose solutions make good indoor air quality achievable in practice.

Eurovent's Deputy Secretary General said: "Buildings should provide healthy indoor environments, yet indoor air quality is still too often treated as a secondary issue in the building sector. As a result, health and wellbeing suffer, as public health research clearly shows.

IAQS plays an important role in bringing this evidence into the wider discussion on policy and practice. The goal is to ensure that healthy indoor air becomes the norm in European buildings. By joining IAQS, Eurovent is adding its weight to this important mission.” Marianne K emmer, CEO of the Indoor Air Quality Society, added: “The Indoor Air Quality Society is delighted to collaborate with Eurovent.
