A YouGov survey found that a majority of citizens in five major EU countries support increased government financial assistance for heat pump installation.
The study covered more than a thousand respondents in France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Poland. Support for reducing dependence on fossil fuels and investing in clean energy persists across political affiliations.
According to EHPA, heat pumps and other electrification solutions reduce Europe’s dependence on expensive imported fuels. The association is calling on the EU and national governments to accelerate the transition in light of the survey results.
